Activity and Play area - Gymraeg Dyffryn Y Glowyr, Abertawe

Gymraeg school who are situated in Powys, pride themselves to give every pupil the opportunity to realise their full potential in a caring and supportive environment. 

​

RAS were contacted by the Powys head of service to see if we could come up with a solution for a particular room at the school. The staff were looking for a solution which would enable them to have a one-to-one chat with a student if needed without them becoming fully isolated from their friends. Being in such an active environment this was very difficult to do due to the noise levels. 

​

The Pod which is now situated in a multi-use room enables the teacher or staff member to quickly take the student away from a situation or have a conversation in a quieter area. 

​

Once in the pod, amazingly the noise which is generated around it seems to disappear, therefore creating  a much calmer environment for them.
